A conference in honour of Françoise Delon

Directions and useful information

Location: Building Sophie Germain (SG on the map), angle of avenue de France and rue Alice Domon and Léonie Duquet, 75013 Paris. The amphitheater Turing is on the ground floor, entrance opposite the elevators on the left of the building.

Public transportation nearby:
RER C, stop Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
Buses 89 and 62, stop Avenue de France
Tram 3a, stop Avenue de France
Bus 27, stops Oudiné and Regnault.

The web page of the RATP contains all information about public transportation in Paris and near suburbs. A few useful tips: it is cheaper to buy tickets by 10 (un carnet); one ticket t or t+ allows you to travel as long as you want on the metro or RER within Paris and near suburbs (=zones 1 and 2); one ticket t allows you to take a bus ride or a tram ride; one ticket t+ allows you to take the bus and the tram for 90 minutes after the first validation (but you need to revalidate your ticket at each transfer). Tickets t+ are not sold on buses, only at metro stations. Tickets t are sold on buses.

Hotels: there is only one hotel near the conference site, and it is fairly expensive. Typically, we put our guests in hotels near Place d'Italie, or in the Latin Quarter. Buses 27 and 89 go there (but do count a good 30 minutes travel). You will need to reserve, and probably leave a credit card number to guarantee your reservation. Here are a few hotels we know:

Hotel de la place des Alpes, 2 Place des Alpes, 75013 Paris. Metro: Place d'Italie; bus 27: Les Alpes. Tel: 01 42 16 92 93.
Hotel de Senlis, 7-9 rue Malebranche, 75005 Paris. RER B: Luxembourg; bus 27: Luxembourg; bus 89: Panthéon. Tel: 01 43 29 93 10; email:
Timhotel Jardin des Plantes, 5 rue Linné, 75005 Paris. Metro: Jussieu or Place Monge; bus 89: Cuvier Jardin des Plantes (going North), or Cuvier (going South). Tel: 01 47 07 06 20, Fax: 01 47 07 62 74.
